The first step that you need to take to start tracking your website mentions and referral visits is installing your tracking code.
You can obtain your Tracking Code by logging into your Mentioned dashboard, then clicking on the website that you want to track, then hitting the “Get Tracking Code” button.
There are a few ways to install your tracking code:
Both ways are perfectly fine, and will produce the same results.
If you would like to embed the code directly into your website, you will simply need to copy your website tracking code and paste it in the “Head” section of every page of your website. If you use Wordpress, Shopify, Wix, Drupal, or any other CMS, the process is very straightforward.
If you can’t code, no worries. There are plenty of plugins, apps, and tutorials that can help you embed the code into the Head section of your website very easily. Some examples below:
